HEAD MAKE-UP ARTIST

Growing up within a Persian household, Nadia was frequently exposed to the opulence, glamour, lavishness and beauty of Persian weddings, celebrations and people. Nadia initially followed an academic career path completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in English Language from King's College London (University of London). Leading on from her degree, she enjoyed a successful career in a number of sought-after industries including fashion, retail and luxury goods.

Nadia's natural talent in make-up and art was apparent from a young age, and over the years she became increasingly drawn towards this passion. Nadia studied as a Freelance Professional Make-Up Artist at the Academy of Freelance Make-Up, (London/New York/Paris), one of the best training institutes in the world within its field. With names such as Versace, Armani, Dior and British and Italian Vogue within their portfolios, the academy's tutors are the most talented in the business. As a student, Nadia gained comprehensive knowledge from artists with extensive work experience and exceptional creative flair in their respective fields: editorial, catwalk, glamour, body painting, film/TV, advertising and weddings.

Nadia continued to expand her portfolio and skills over the years, working as a make-up artist with a number of exceptionally talented photographers, fashion designers, celebrities, publications and events including backstage at London Fashion Week and also featuring in publications such as Elle Wedding, Vogue, Dotty Vintage Magazine and Kit Magazine.

Throughout her work experience, Nadia was always drawn towards her love of weddings, and together with her business partner Zara, they formed their company, Portraits. Nadia and Zara had passion and enthusiasm about fusing their expertise in make-up artistry and hair styling. They combined the ethos of paying exceptional attention to detail and also creating a truly special, and above all individual experience for each and every bride on her wedding day.
