A Most Curious Collaboration! Portraits Behind The Scenes Photoshoot! As Seen On LOVE MY DRESS!

As featured on Love My Dress (click here for the article) and the Festival Brides blog (click here for the article), we just had to share these amazing images from photographers CINZIA BRUSCHINI and NATALIE J WEDDINGS. Two very different but equally talented photographers on the "bridal scene"

As exhibitors and part of the MOST CURIOUS BRIDAL FAIR friend circle, we were thrilled to be approached to help out with the upcoming campaign photoshoot for their 2016 fair! We think it will be the biggest and best yet (see our previous post about our wonderful time at this years show!!) The final images landed on our desk and we were blown away but the fun, quirky and colourful vibes from Natalie J's work! Such a talented lady and we highly recommend her.

Equally, when we received Cinzia's behind the scenes shots a few days later we were just as in love and so amazed at how the same shoot could evoke such a different emotion. We adore the real cinematic element to Cinzia's work and the fact that each shot was like a mini work of art, please check her out!

Part of the shoot meant that we got to collaborate with the super skilful BRIDAL NEXT winners from last years show! The winners were, as mentioned, Natalie J, Velvet Johnstone, an amazing forward thinking bridal-wear designer, Ann-Marie Faulkner a contemporary bridal accessories designer and finally Oh Squirrel, a stationer with a sense of fun and original ideas to match! They were all so lovely and in tune with the requirements for the final outcome of the shoot and were also so good at working as a team! Lots of colour blocking, mini cactus' and jelly on a plate were things we loved from the day! YUM!

When Nadia and I received the original brief from the Curious ladies we realised it was no ordinary bridal shoot and right up our street! Some influences were pretty oriental and reference images of fantastic, regal Burmese ladies had us so inspired!

We really think this came across in the end results of the shoot, while still combining traditional and modern looks for the bun. We added our own twist with the hair down look by crimping sections, but keeping the silhouette of the hair at the front "S" shaped and therefore creating a slightly 40s feel, mixed with the 70s crimp, making it totally eclectic and "now"!

For the final hair look, tight rope braids were created to the scalp and the ends were then let down over either shoulder, very 90s cool, and a look we have also seen a version of trending on the latest J.W.Anderson runway for AW15! Makeup as usual was effortless and simple with the main focus on beautiful brows and pink lips.

So here are some little BTS shots as well as a few campaign shots! We hope you like them and a full list of the collaborators can be found at the end :-).

Love,

Zara and Nadia
